RE: Build-a-cat - Ivy Norsk - 10-26-2021 07:16 AM The Halloween cats just came out Tad. The traits will pop in about 2 weeks. RE: Build-a-cat - Ivy Norsk - 02-23-2022 08:50 AM It’s time for a new traits round-up before the current collection cats start showing us their hidden stuff. Furs Cheetah! - Maltese Black Chinchilla discussed here Cheetah! - Washed Blue Mink discussed here Chimera - Seal Point Mink discussed here Chimera - Spotted Flame discussed here Eyes Odyssey Nebula Moon discussed here Odyssey Slime and Sky discussed here Odyssey Tapestry No. 1 discussed here Ear Odyssey Vampire discussed here I think there's an unfound eye, Odyssey Tapestry No. 2. Callie teased it on the picture that she sent out of the Cheetah! - Maltese Black Chinchilla, but nobody has found it yet. RE: Build-a-cat - Ivy Norsk - 02-23-2022 11:41 AM I gotta say, I'm also looking at those whiskers and saying to myself, "are those 2 Tone Black & White, or are those an un-found Black Tipped Grey or Black Tipped Smoke?" RE: Build-a-cat - Tad Carlucci - 03-02-2022 08:01 AM The Build-a-Cat site may be down for a while sometime today as I move the DNS to point to a new hosting provider. The TTL (time to live) is 1200 seconds (2 hours) so it may take a few hours for your browser to find the new site. Your ISP may ignore the TTL, so it can take a day or two for your browser to see the change. If you're using Chrome (or a derivative like Edge) you should see the green lock icon instead of "Not Secure" or a grayed lock next to the name at the top of the screen, as the site will now support (if not enforce) a secure connection (HTTPS). After the move, when I'm satisfied, I'll be making the recent change request. RE: Build-a-cat - Tad Carlucci - 03-02-2022 11:39 AM commit d30ef06f1d5d0b512ab4087cd11b33e6060e54a2 Added Fur: Cheetah! - Maltese Black Chinchilla Added Fur: Cheetah! - Washed Blue Mink Added Fur: Chimera - Seal Point Mink Added Fur: Chimera - Spotted Flame Added Eye: Odyssey Nebula Moon Added Eye: Odyssey Slime and Sky Added Eye: Odyssey Tapestry No. 1 Added Eye: Odyssey Tapestry No. 2 Added Ear: Odyssey Vampire commit df78efc6435e85b7fc8b0ea5862ba93ce7b5a4cc Remove Eye: Odyssey Tapestry No. 2 The new hosting site is up and working. For the tech minded: Added DNSSEC, aded HTTPS, forced HTTPS on everyone (yeah!), added http://www.tad-carlucci.com CNAME, added IP6 support. RE: Build-a-cat - Bea Shamrock - 03-02-2022 03:07 PM Tad -the site is fantastic! I can't seem to find the Mustache whiskers though. Am I looking wrong? RE: Build-a-cat - Tad Carlucci - 03-02-2022 04:27 PM Did I miss a request to add Mustache whisker shape? It's been months since the previous request and I'd not be surprised if some got missed. I have a few minutes, I'll try to compare to the dominance charts to see what else might be missing. commit 21eda1b8a922865c48ca2fcb5cf13b72e991f4c3 Correct sorting Added Eye: RockCrysyal Added Eye: RockOpera Added Whisker Shape: Mustache commit 8259df5d244710e7786addf01c21bf045ab187ef Removed eye: RockOpera --- This resulted from a run-through of the dominance charts. RE: Build-a-cat - Ivy Norsk - 03-03-2022 10:11 AM Thank you. Yeah, sorry, we seem to have missed listing Mustache here, though it is placed on the charts. RockCrystal and RockOpera are eye traits from the new collection and were just discovered within the past 2-3 days. In both cases there is a single cat on the grid (that we know of) that shows the eye. I'm curious as to why they register differently. RE: Build-a-cat - Tad Carlucci - 03-03-2022 11:00 AM I removed RockOpera because it doesn't exist, yet. It'll probably appear once the trait actually appears and isn't hidden behind a costume. RE: Build-a-cat - Tad Carlucci - 03-05-2022 10:21 PM Build-a-Cat can now be installed as PWA (Progressive Web App). That means you can have it in your Start Menu / Task Bar / Desktop and use it without having to fire up a web browser and follow a link or bookmark. Even though it's a PWA, it won't work offline since there you probably don't have all the KittyCatS images cached. YMMV. I've only tested this on Windows 10. Let me know if there are problems on Linux or MacOS. --- commit aa14bedc6cb3fb58bf674024e657927d56916ac2 Date: Sat Mar 5 22:13:25 2022 -0600 Add support for running as a web app. commit 86c99150725908b6dbef35d40eb1f1623135273e Date: Sat Mar 5 17:40:17 2022 -0600 Correct CSP hash for script commit d50fed80c85eb8f313f4a7d98ca400715b2a9efd Date: Sat Mar 5 17:34:36 2022 -0600 Add Content-Security-Policy Meta tag is better than nothing since I can't set this header on the web server. commit ef9341cbf4f0e75744ed6dcc87a63554c93bfe6b Date: Sat Mar 5 17:31:10 2022 -0600 Remove inline Javascript commit a8258f846aa2a479cad5ac34269bfc09223711f9 Date: Sat Mar 5 14:32:52 2022 -0600 Add meta description to aid SEO commit 293ba13578d1347dc894ceea5bd49e79b234f400 Date: Sat Mar 5 14:30:54 2022 -0600 Add lang attribute to assist screen readers Oh? How to install it? On Chrome, at least, there's a new icon on the right of the navigation bar which says "Install Build-a-Cat" when you hover over it. It's next to the bookmark star and sharing arrow. |
