Hi Sarah,
Is it possible to get a gyazo of the actual KittyCats! Pedigree? The auction mat format doesn't allow us to see the cat's ID and ages of parents, etc., which can very much matter in a proof. Thanks! Sorry to be a pest about that.
This is pretty straightforward though: Dad Buchanan shows Divine and hides Raw Ametrine or Faded Flower - both of which are known to be recessive to Fern, and therefore can't hide in that line no matter what. So he passed Raw Ametrine OR Faded Flower to the kitten - the Fern HAD to have come from under mom Daisy's Liquid Gold.

Fern is recessive to Marble Magic.

The first pedigree is just to establish that Kyran RedVelvet hides the eye Fern. It doesn't establish what pulled the Fern - I'm testing that and it may be Grey Matter but that's for later. Just the Fern eye came from Kyran. Amy's line comes from long before Fern was introduced.

We can see that when mated with a Marble Magic showing cat, the Marble Magic shows on the kitten. Obviously Kyran did not throw his genesis eye; he had to have thrown his Fern.

I believe this shows that Magic Kiss is recessive to Fern.

I posted your pic for you, but unfortunately it doesn't give direct proof . A proof must ensure that trait can only come from one cat and in this case the sea green could also hide magic kiss from beyond the grandparents. Although Peeta is magic kiss, without seeing the whole pedigree, we can't know if he hides something more recessive that could be behind the fern. For future testing, if you mate the test cat with a partner with a trait more recessive that the test trait can't hide under it.Smile) Keep testing!!!

However, we do already have this proof from the Raw Ametrine position.

We have proof that Fern is dominant to Raw Ametrine and we also have proven Raw Ametrine is dominant to magic kiss. THerefore Fern must also be dominant to magic kiss.

And that bengal is beautiful!! Love her

Fern is dominant to Grey Matter.
You've seen Kyran (who hides Fern) and Amy - whom I was pretty sure hid Grey Matter - in a post up above. I had to make sure that it was Grey Matter that pulled the Fern, and it is.
