OK, I bought the Image Sensor, which was the one located right by the sign showing the forum signature, but the only notecard with instructions is for setup of the image sensor itself, not the forum signature .... did I buy the wrong product?

URL for displaying the image on the forum has changed, please take note of the new url in the message received by the sensor or use your sensor tester to get the URL.

I believe the images generated are only used on the KittyCatS forum, not inworld.
That might be where the difference lays.

To answer your question, this product has been released with authorisation of the kittycats team, what the profilers do is from another scripter / coder. (I don't know what his/hers agreement with kittycats was/is.)
All the info gathered to make these signatures are gathered by the official API which kittycats released.
Images remain property of KittyCats.ws and used on the official forum of kittycats - Backgrounds are made by me to fit the signature.
