RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - HappyDaize Resident - 10-11-2016 12:55 PM My Aby Fawn x British test cat threw an Aby Fawn kitten for the fourth consecutive week. 9T male Kitten, hides Burmie Chocolate -- if anyone would like to have him (the kitten box), please let me know. RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - Reven Rosca - 10-11-2016 01:16 PM Oh my gawd... Stubborn kitties! Better luck next week, Hap! RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - HappyDaize Resident - 10-11-2016 02:08 PM LOL, Ikr? I am not giving up. I may just do another cross and start a second pair, in case this one eventually shows that he has the wrong hidden. I still have both the Aby and an Oci test going... and not giving up until we have the British SH C&W placed. Did I mention that I paired a possibly pure Scottish shorthair to a Cream and White tabby hiding Brit and got a Brit back? Kitten is popped and at 50% love RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - Reven Rosca - 10-14-2016 09:52 AM (10-11-2016 04:52 PM)Reven Rosca Wrote:(10-11-2016 02:08 PM)HappyDaize Resident Wrote: LOL, Ikr? Said kitten passed her shown British Shorthair, so I'm crossing my fingers for her hidden fur next week! RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - HappyDaize Resident - 10-17-2016 09:25 PM Proof that Ocicat Tawny is Dom to British SH C&W. Test Male (Bengal Snow shown, hiding Brit SH C&W) was proven to hide British SH C&W, so his Tawny furred kitten must be Ocicat Tawny hiding British SH C&W. Here again is the pedigree on the Bengal that proves he hides/passes the Brit fur... So now I am waiting on my Aby Fawn test to come through. The only furs remaining are Aby Fawn and Snowshoe Red. I'll have to dig out those boxes from the snowshoe Red pairing I never opened RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - HappyDaize Resident - 10-18-2016 03:13 PM Yes Arwen We are sooo close. I do have the Test male that carries Brit C&W (as his confirmed hidden fur) still on the mat at Saga -- so if anyone has an appropriate adult female, he's available for test mating(s). Might as well get this fur placed and done. RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness - Kayla Woodrunner - 10-19-2016 05:33 AM gosh Happy, you're making me think! lol have to look at that one more slowly (I can pretend I'm lookinga at it more slowly for people who are new but it's really for me) For me it's easier to start with the 2nd proof (writing it also because sometimes images disappear and people reference a proof and all that is left are the words) Going with your 2nd chart first since it establshes the hid of dad Mom Fall's Natural has Tonki Natural Mink shown Dad "Test M Bengal Snow" has Bengal Snow shown Baby has British Shorthair Cream & White Shown which is known to be dominant to Tonkinese Natural Mink. This provs Dad's hid is BSCW. Now back to the 1st chart Mom Fall's Riwwel has Ocicat Tawny shown We have Dad "Test M Bengal Snow" again who has Bengal Snow shown and proven above has British Shorthair Cream & White shown Baby shows Ocicat Tawny Ocicat Tawny is known to be recessive to Bengal Snow so Dad had to have passed his hid British Shorthair Cream & White. Therefore Ocicat Tawny is dominant to British Shorthair Cream & White Yay, great job, Hap!
