I'm new to breeding cats, but used to breed horses. Is it possible to rezz your food in a friends cattery and have their cats eat from it? If food and milk can be set so any cats can eat from it, that would work when watching someone's cats while they are away. It would also work when helping someone get started.

Yes, you can rezz food and or milk for a friend.
For that you need to click each bowl to set it to "anyone" or "group" depending how you like to handle it.
If you set it to group all cats that eat from it need to be rezzed in the same group as the food is in.
