Lillian is only 1 day old so I;m hoping she will grow out of this disturbing phase.

I have same problem, i think it happens because of SL lag.
should be fixed with the new update! yay!
My toys and teas get dislocated after playing with the post as well just as younger kitties.
I noticed also as toys and teas grow up they end up higher than their original home position.
I think it is not to avoid due to the boundary box of the sculpt parts for younger cats and Toys and teas.
But you say they fixed that Daki?
That would be awesome I figured this wasn't possible due to sculpty limitations.
let's see what did I see in the update NC....
"? Cats will now leave the Scratch & Play posts as a "whole".
? Cats will now behave normal when a Scratch & Play post is outside their range."
I guess the second one doesn't really apply here (don't even know what they mean by that) but I would think the first one is what we are talking about for kittens and teacups getting dismembered.

Lol I don't understand that part either

She doesn't seem to be using the post at all since the update, nor does Casper, an adult male Bengal I bought and paired with Lillian.
