I really would like to see something done about those scratch posts, i was thinking about getting another as my kitties are always fighting to get to use it, and i don't know what happened there but they really aren't very pretty and no way to mod them to our tastes.
Equi tried taking out the script and putting it into another prim but it can't be done.
In fact just the one prim post would be fine if it was modifiable and we could integrate it they way we want to after. Of course people would try playing around with the size, which would mess it up a bit but you could just include a NC with the original dimensions so they can get it back to normal. Make it no trans so no one could sell it and pass off the script as their own creation.
We could then even have a creative scratch post contest lol.
This would take no time at all, just drop the script into a modifiable prim and put on sale in the store. PLEEEEEEZ !
I'd like to see a "kitty attractor" script we could use like the pedigree script but which we could drop into toys, like scratching posts or stuffed mice, and have the kitties occasionally move toward it, sit, stare, bat at it a bit, then .. in a very cat-like manner .. proceed to ignore it until the next time.
Eventhough I like the scratch post design I would love to design my own as well:-)
Not that I own one but picture a gigantic kitty climbing and scratching a tree OMG that would be too hilarious!
Also teacups and toys seems to need a slightly different scaled/ scripted post Smile
I want a giant kitty so bad!!!

Yes i'd love to see this too Smile
I think there should be two scripts: a "toy" script that would go into any small object that can lie on the floor, like a stuffed mouse or something... and a "scratching post" script that goes into any tall vertical object, and then that object would work like the scratching posts.

Imagine the level of realism of putting that into a prim in your couch.
For realism, the tall, scratching, script would need to fire off a linkset message so I can tell when the cat is scratching and change textures from nice, new, to old, torn-up for you.
