Patron Profile
During the early 1990s, Ellen and her late husband were involved in breeding and showing Siamese and Oriental Shorthair cats in the real world. She hasn't been able to do that for a long time, and she misses the cat show circuit lifestyle. Ellen now enjoys the experience of KittyCats in Second Life allowing her to breed cats virtually.
She started with KittyCats in September 2015, when the last Firestorm KittyCat was released along with a free starter KittyCat. From the time she adopted that first Firestorm kitty, she fell in love with the natural, realistic cat-like animations and the adorable appearance of KittyCats.
KittyCats Projects and History
According to Ellen, "At first I bred KittyCats that looked as much as possible like the cats I had bred in real life (Siamese furs with blue eyes) but as time passed, I grew bolder and began to experiment with different combinations, such as trying to breed the KittyCat of the Month. I have come close but still haven't accomplished that."
Ellen especially loves the "couture" kitties, where fur, eyes, and whisker colors (when possible) all match each other.. She has bred a number of combination projects, such as her "Double Mocha Lattes" (Gen Mocha fur, mocha eyes, and latte whiskers), and more recently, Golden Tickets with 18-carat gold eyes, Turquoise fur with Rock Turquoise eyes, and the project that she's currently working on: Dusky Plum with plum eyes. She's been trying for a triple dusky (Fancie Dusky Diamond eyes and dusky whiskers on a Dusky fur) but sadly admits that she has reached that goal yet, either. Now that the new Cheetahs have arrived, she's planning to pair those with fruit eyes.
In March 2019 Ellen discovered the Tiger! Powder Blue fur and she is still excited about it!
