I was thinking of ending the Autumn Fur / Eye placement threads on 11/30/16 and starting the Winter Fur / Eye placement threads to clean things up a bit because a lot of work has continued on placements. I didn't do an Autumn one last year but this year more people have continued with dominance testing and it seemed like a good idea. However, with the new Forum-based charts updating as fast or faster than I do, maybe it's not necessary to do that any more.
So just checking, do people like seeing the short listing of Winter furs / eyes to be placed or are people good with referencing the new chart since it updates fast?
I enjoy having a forum thread to click, to double check, when people ask if this or that still needs placed.
I love the Dom charts for checking & comparing Dom/rec. ranking of the traits.
But the forum post makes it far quicker and easier to see what eyes and furs still need work, without having to scroll & search through the full length listing.
I vote yes, for a Winter List on the forum.
I vote yes for a list as well. Sometimes its just easier to scan a list.
I have learned to check the forum post first. As stated above already, it's so easy to scroll down and see the summary of where the testing is at. I appreciate all of the effort put into it and I too vote yes.
To elaborate a bit:
The charts are tools for breeders and auctioneers, basically anyone who wants to read pedigrees.
The placements project threads on the other hand are tools for us who work with dominance testing, so see what we have to work on.
The placement threads are also a good place to check for changes in the cases where the charts arent updated.
