Is there a reason you have to wait 10 minutes for a cat box to open? It seems like such a waste of time if there's not a reason for it. Does it take that long for the scripts to run??

It used to be 30 minutes, without knowing the gender before opening and without the possibility to repack.
I think the animations of the box shaking & the little meows are fun and cute.
If you don't want to wait though, open your boxes in the cattery, it's instant.

Oh, yeah. The Good Ol' Days of waiting 30 minutes to find out the box was a Boy and you needed a Girl. Rinse, repeat, post a complaint, then head off to market to buy a Girl from someone who needed a Boy and was having the same lousy luck as you.
