Hi! I am about ready to breed my babies, and I was wondering about traits. If both of my kitties have 6 traits, will that automatically make the baby have 6? Or could it have less or more? Also, can I breed the 6's and get a 9 trait? Or do you have to breed 9's to get that? Thanks so much for any feedback!
Hi, it would help to see the cats' traits, but with a pair of 6 traits, you can get less than 6 traits on the offspring (the least you can get is 3 traits), or more, maybe even up to 9 traits.

Yes, it does !
Since your cats have 5 non genesis traits in common (Fur, eye color, shape, pupil size & shade),
you know for sure their kittens will have at least 5 non genesis traits showing.
As for the others, you get more chance at having ears & whiskers color showing as non gen since
at least the male or the female has those traits.
Good luck !

Common traits (that is, those which are non-generic) are:
Fur
Eye Color
Eye Shape
Pupil Size
Shade
So, all offspring from this pair will be AT LEAST 5 traits. The best-case odds for more traits are:
1-in-2 will be at least 6,
1-in-4 will be at least 7,
1-in-16 will be at least 8,
1-in-64 will be 9.
This assumes that all trails actually hide a non-generic value. Which is safe, but not ensured.
Drezzlyn, do you know about shown and hidden traits, and how it works when they pass their traits to their offspring?
