Has this eye been updated on the actual kitties? My Ody Carnival eye is swapped where the pink eye is on the left and the blue eye is on the right, opposite of this picture. Just wondering...

I haven't bred any for awhile, but I seem to remember that boys and girls had the colors on opposite sides.
Hmm very interesting

I'll take a look.
My memory is wayyy too foggy,
so I LOOKED!
I have male and females with the purple/blue on either side.
Also have had a kitten come with a left blue eye,
when the parent had a right blue eye.
So it seems random to me!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not random. Eyes swap sides if they're mysterious/small (iirc). All do it but it's most apparent with the Odyssey eyes because the color swaps.
There's an OLD thread about it, probably a couple years ago, if you want to find out more.
Not all eyes do, not even all Od ones do, just some of them.
As I said, it's been a very long time, but there is a thread which covers it.
This is so cool. I thought it was the scotch making the eyes look backwards. It makes the Ody eyes more interesting that they swap sides.
Gee...I'm always thrilled when somebody throws a...
" What??? YOU DIDNT GO DIGGING THROUGH ALL THE OLD THREADS FIRST???"
Like the word 'Odyssey' hasnt been used five million times!!
Thanks Tad, for sending me on a recon mission! ![Tongue Tongue](https://kittycats.ws/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Ten minutes later with the help of the late George Boole, I dug up this:

Yes, folks were pondering this same question back in 2013! ![Wink Wink](https://kittycats.ws/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
You're right! I looked back into my chattery. Cats from 2012 have their eyes opposite to yours. Both male & female.... So no difference in gender. I have a couple of cats from 2014 with eyes like yours. I am on my lap top or I'd add a picture. Will try to do that tomorrow.
Your so smart lol I never would have noticed!
Note to self for the future: read Winter's post first before I put one up! Lolo
