I'm fairly new to breeding (under a year) and i'm confused with one of my cats pedigree. I like working with Genesis kitties and this guy here is showing this glitter shade and both his parents have a dominant shade to glitter and i'm just trying to figure out why was it thrown on the kitten meep. I've read threads about breeding and like i said i'm still learning but if two dom shades to glitter are on the parents, wont the kitten get one of these shades and not something recessive.
Sorry if this is confusing, that's why I'm going to provide a gyazo.

Thanks in advance

Each parent shows its dominant trait value, and hides an equal or more recessive value.

In you case:

* Lucus shows Natural and, by examining his parents, hides Twinkle or something recessive to Twinlke.

* Colby shows Illume, and hides either Illume or something recessive to Illume.

* Meep shows Glitter, which is recessive to both Illume, and Natural, but dominant to Twinkle.

Therefore:

1) Meep hides Twinkle or something more recessive, from Lucus

2) Colby hides Glitter, from Bright.

3) Bright hides Glitter.
* Meep shows Glitter, which is recessive to both Illume, and Natural, but dominant to Twinkle.
1) Meep hides Twinkle or something more recessive, from Lucus

A lighbulb just came on...Thank you for this
