Um .. "October, 31"?
But, you want it NOW!?!?!
I just checked and tomorrow (the 29th) is the anniversary of the Lord Nelson's birth! How about moving the Specials up to tomorrow? I can see it now, all nautical theme-y and Merry-time-y!

The first year was a few days before Halloween, last couple of years has been a couple of weeks beforehand so expect sometime around 10 days to 2 weeks from now... besides I am sure we will get the usual hints before the release
Lets face it, every collection is eagerly anticipated, we don't want to wait lol

They released them 3 weeks before Halloween last year, On Oct. 10, 2013 to be exact. Sales of well-bred cats at secondary sims dropped sharply after that, as the money once again went to the Halloween/Fall Collection cats and KittyCats! owners, not the breeders who support KittyCats! with huge kibble and milk purchases all year.
I for one would like to see them delay the release a week, so sales don't plummet in 7 days from now for the breeders. But it won't happen - and the new trait lottery begins again, further discouraging the breeders.

I am sorry.

It is good that new traits are introduced because it creates more buying not less. I only tend to buy 1 or 2 specials if I like the look. The odds of getting "lucky" with only 1 or 2 are not good. So mostly with new traits, I wait for the prices to drop and get them from someone else: store, bidboard, love table, auction, what have you. Even if I get lucky, I have a kitty with 1 good trait and lots of genesis traits and it takes some time to breed it up to where I have a cat that has some decent traits to go with the one good trait. It is just easier and cheaper to wait most of the time. Since I have enough kitties and a decent inventory, I don't buy much anymore unless they have a trait that is not in my cattery. Mostly what I do right now, is try to create my own trait combos (fur and eyes are easy but it seems to be a lot harder when I want to combine specific other traits with that fur and eye combo). I've been doing Kittycats since Dec 2013 so now I have enough inventory I've got most traits except the newest ones already in inventory. So if it weren't for new traits, I would not need to buy again ever except for food. I think there are a lot of people like me. (Of course I wish I was better at selling
because I do have lots of boxes.

Yeah, Kayla, I actually implemented same approach with buying just 1-2 if they are nice, once I actually got lucky with Exotic Breeze eyes, but by the time I finally pulled out eye and got cats for sale, they are not worth much any more, lol.
