Well, decided to toss up some pics of Ensign Matzah... born on the USS Tarkus - Federation Starfleet vessel NCC-179.

A few folks know Matzah because I post random shots of her in the group chat.

I had her born the day I began building the ship. The ship has gone through some significant changes and reworks as I try to slowly put together something unique but distinctly "old school Star Trek."

Even so, Matzah has remained the same, serving faithfully on the bridge of the ship she calls home. So long as I have Matzah, I will work to keep and finish it. Can't have a homeless kitty, right?

I got Matzah the custom hat and collar, making it so that it rather represented a Star Trek "original series" style uniform, bearing the insignia style I created for the USS Tarkus cew uniforms.

So, this thread will be, for what ever it's worth, a sort of photo history of Ensign Matzah and the USS Tarkus on which she lives and sees as home.

Just another kitty in a box, waiting to come to life in SL, her home was the lowest deck of the forward hull of a Star Trek "Daedalus" class ship I was just beginning to build...

For you technical sorts, the USS Tarkus would be the upper build, very rough, with the ship below for a size reference. The entire length of the original Tarkus was to be 128m from foreward-most end to furthest back end of the naecelles.

Matzah's first "baby pics"... hehehehe... Her name was random. I decided to let the system choose, just to see what would pop up. Matzah sounded like as good a name as any... and better than a lot!

Right after "birth," I had the little fuzzbutt "helping" as I started assembling the ship's bridge.... and worked on getting the vessel into its basic shape.

"Matzah, that is a Klingon Battle Cruiser.... Assholes of the Galaxy!"

Consulting with the ship's bridge officer, Ensign Matzah, regarding the Klingon situation...

...and, of course, kittycats grow and grow over that 7 days....

...until 7 days old, Matzah earned her "uniform"... her hat and collar, gold/yellow, as it just seemed proper that a kittycat be given "command rating"... hehehehe...

Oh, poor Matzah. I'm glad she got better

I'm an old school Star Trek fan so it's been a fun story. I keep wanting to give Matzah a tribble to play with. She would so love a tribble (until it started eating her catfood)
