After discussing with a few people in KittyCatS Addicts chat and elsewhere, an idea was developed which we wanted to share with you.
A lot of buyers complain about visiting shops where the hovertext is impossible to see because there's just so much all crammed together. We were considering solutions and Draco suggested the following:
Why can't we have boxes with choices of what to show in hovertext? On the cats, we can select which hovertext to show. We can show just the name, the name and gender, the name, gender, and love... There are all kinds of combinations. If we could choose to leave hovertext active but choose which lines of hovertext would appear, it would help cut down on visual clutter in shops. For instance, a box rezzed under the sign saying "Bengal Sorell" would not need to show fur. If it was a mysterious eyed sorell with no other traits, we could show just the eye line. If it also had a curious tail, we could have it show the eye AND tail lines but no others. It would reduce visual fatigue in shoppers and encourage sales.
If there are serious impediments to implementing this, I'd understand, but since we have a similar feature on the live cats already, we thought it would be worth suggesting as an option for the boxes as well. Thanks for your consideration!
