Hello All In the KittyCatS Community,

There are many Newbies to the KittyCatS Community that English is not their 1st Language. As we all know the translators available to us don't always work so well. Things get lost in translation. English is My only Language with a few words here and there in others. But not even close enough to help new comers to KittyCatS with English not being a fluent language or even so-so language in their vocabulary.

So this is what I'm asking for: Any Groups, Classes or even a Elder or Mentor in the KittyCatS Community for other Languages than English. Please post or contact me with any of this information.

Or if there is someone that might want to help out in a group created for other languages in the KittyCatS Community please contact me. Maybe Classes once a month or more even. Where Everyone can ask questions and get them answered. I can provide the Classroom Area and Get the word out.

I would love to see there be a place for these Newbies to turn to just like I was able to turn to all of ya'll when I first came to KittyCatS. Everyone was so Helpful, Caring, Loving & Beautiful. It was most wonderful having ya'll hold my hand and pretty much give me a Big Hug when I screwed up and was about to pull my hair out. Smile Everyone has been so helpful to all of Our New Friends speaking other languages. Some of them have told me they fell bad that they don't know English or know English better. Sad No one should feel this way!!! I feel bad that I don't know more languages for RL reasons. But all I can do is try Smile

Sorry just drank a Strong cup of Joe a Very very strong Cup. hehehehehhe (chatter box here)

Thank You for Taking the time to read this post. If you contact me to help out and dont' get a response please try again. I'm not always at the Wheel of My Computer and I get log out for some many reasons. Mainly SL, RL Kitten or RL little Boys LOLOL

Thanks Again,
~ Veet Smile

Good idea!

I have my translator machines working overtime every day of the week!

Perhaps a list of multi-lingual folk willing to beam down

and translate when the need arises.

Even to have these guys show up at a Russian newbie seminar or something.

I'd be happy to host any of those events as well.

My castle-ish house has a huge main room,

or we could open up ShadoZe Kitteh klub for the events.

KittyCatS is an all inclusive world wide community,

we should make this easy for everybody.
You Rock Winter!!! That is so Nice of you. Awesome I'm thinking of other ways to seek out people to help. I can wait to see who we can get all together. Smile Thank You.

What translator are you using? Does it work well? i have the "Metanomics Translator v2.1" Everyone gives me these. But they dont' work so well at times. Sad I need to ask my freinds what translator they are using. Theirs dont' always work well either. So I haven't asked Smile

I use babelfish and google translator.

Often at the same time! Just to look for descrepancies!

Not as quick as those 'on the fly' SL units,

but I find them to be slightly more accurate.

Problem is, it takes longer since you're cutting and pasting all the time.

Though they are all better than nothing,

you wont fool the Germans, they will roll their eyes at your machine speak.

Just like when they are using one to communicate with you!

" Is the food below the blanket when the cat is open?"

" Umm, sure. You must be using a translator."

Keep me posted.
I know Kittycats have set up groups in other languages, they can be found in the CSR's profiles, especially for the ones speaking that language, like the CSRs speaking spanish they have the kittycats spanish group listed and such, if that is of any help to your project? Smile

Not really, sadly I believe these groups, beside the German one, have chat deactivated...
