Im glad Kittycats corrected the problem and if you were to profit off this bug, then in gaming terminology its called an Exploit. So its normal they corrected the mistake and gave everyone in the game the same advantage again. KittyCats have always been careful to not give anyone an advantage over others which I really admire them for and this is no exception...well done KCs

Not sure about this.

Numismatists for example, ( coin collector types) often buy and
trade rare monetary screw ups.

Double struck coins etc.

The government doesnt come in and say,

" HEYYY, YOU CANT BE MAKIN' MONEY IN THE AFTERMARKET
ON OUR SCREWUPS!"

As long as it isn't making some weird scripting snafu,
and borking up the works,
and as long as you have no control over its creation,
and that it is simply a random, chaotic, event,

I say, "lucky you and your messed up kitteh, maybe I want to buy it."

Big fan of capitalism, and being an opportunist.

Also a big fan of rare freaks of nature.

Exploit? Nayyyy.

What a cool a cool story, Terrariea I'm glad they are still very special to you
And in a way they are because those are the real oopsy kitties.
It is very nice to know how this unique bug appeared!
I'm also glad KittyCatS gave us all access to the crowns and tiara's :-)
I need to pick up a few as well thank you for the reminder.
I think they are cute I hope they are to stay

Coin collecting is NOT something that is part of a game. Which in all reality breedables are a game to a degree which makes it an exploit and the way KittyCatS handled it and didn't give one person an advantage over another was purrfect in my opinion.

Yah, still disagreeing with those calling this an 'exploit'.

A game exploit is using a flaw in the games construction to cheat,

and thus create an unfair advantage to the player using it.

Utilizing an exploit is an intentional act.

However, this anomoly could have happened to anybody,

without their direct involvement or manipulation,

and nobody could have brought it upon themselves.

An equal opportunity malfunction.

Luck of the draw so to speak,

that dropped a kitteh on your lap wearing a tiarra.

Therefore not an exploit in its true definition.

It was a random snafu.

It created a rare item.

Rare items, like error coins, are collectable.

Collectable items are bought and sold.

Here the collectable has been rendered moot.

So much for that.

If you want a better example of an exploit,

remember that guy in SL who found a glitch to bid on properties

before they were available for sale,

and thus got a bunch of sims for cheap?

He knew it was cheating, yet he intentionally committed the deed.

THATS what we call an exploit.

Someone received now a kitty wearing a Wild Flower Citrus Blossom collar so the bug acted up again.

I honestly don't mind if she could keep it.
She was very happy with her rare kitty.
I think it is not nice also to take it away from her and I doubt they will give away the collars related to the citrus blossom to the whole community.
I think it is not so harmful.

that doesnt lag down a sim, or cause script havoc,

that could happen to ANYBODY,

why shouldnt she keep it?

Or do whatever with it?

I agree completely.
What harm can it do.
They decided to make this collar freely available as well though till 31-st of august.
Mistakes and bugs just happen.
