OMG!!! Congrats Smile
Sir Tad, what do you have to say for yourself ? Wink
No problem here. Nobody ever said what the Father was. Most furs would have completely precluded the result. Since it worked, I can tell he was, or at least hides, Cream Lynx. So she won a 1-out-of-3 chance and a 1-out-of-4 at the same time. And, if Dad wasn't a Cream Lynx, she's also proven he hides it, or he hides Foxie Salt and Pepper himself.

Just don't make the mistake of saying that, since it worked for her, it will always work. Most times it won't.

Agreed on that one Smile
But I'm happy this worked out as this was the way she wanted to try it.

First time since I started breeding (when the bday cats came out), that a experiment or a outcome I was hoping for actually came through for me. Will be interesting to see what the next kitty will be. There is a lot of people in the community stating to back breed to get the traits out. First time I tried it. Glad I did.

So the cream son has salty for grandparent too. Since the salty is so close in the pedigree I would assume she has a good chance of getting a mix between cream and salty os.

I think you are right Dev that will increase the chance the Salty is still present in the background.

I do owe you an apology Tad. Though I did mention that the son hides it, I never mentioned that she planned on back breeding him to the mom who hid it in the first place. Blush

I had met Chelse the other night and was trying to help her, but I have no clue the exact odds for her outcome. Just that it's hit or miss.

Congrats on your really sweet baby! I hope this means you won't be giving up on kitties now? You can always leave me offline messages or ask questions in group chat or here. There's always someone around to help. Smile

Did you find your model yet?

you said to ask .. so here goes with the new kitty being salt and pepper and male, would it better to mate this son with the mom. To increase the odds of getting salty.

Still looking for models contact me inworld
Absolutely.

The odds are 1-in-2 for another Foxie Salt and Pepper. Your goal, now, is a female Foxie Salt and Pepper to replace Mom with.
